Maps of Gaziantep and Kilis drawn as part of the project aim to provide useful information for both domestic and foreign visitors.
These plans, which show motorways, main roads, the railways and airport; parks and other green areas; ancient sites; military, civil and commercial areas; mosques; tombs; hamams; schools, hotels, and hospitals etc.; will fill an important gap in this area, constituting a resource for various projects to be carried out in the future (cultural, infrastructure etc.) in Gaziantep and Kilis, where no such resource existed before.
Information about the 41 buildings that were focussed on under the project is printed on the reverse side of the maps. |

The signboards giving information in Turkish, Arabic and English, will increase the knowledge of local people and provide information about the region for domestic and international visitors. |
As existing information about the sights in Gaziantep and Kilis was disorganized, being from scattered sources and of a varying standard, it was difficult to obtain and make use of the knowledge. There were no publications at all in Arabic, and those in Eglish were insufficient. As a result, visitors to the provinces did not know where to go or how to get there.
The guidebook containing information and photographs pertaining to 82 important sights (41 in Gaziantep and 41 in Kilis) in the provinces aims to make up for this lack. |
|
Professional writers and commentators were employed in the making of this film, which has original music suited to its content. The history and culture of the two cities and other aspects of interest to visitors are presented in the film, with special emphasis on the 41 sights worth seeing in each province. |

The web site is in Turkish, Arabic and English, and contains the map and information from the film and guidebook. |

The public is made aware of project activities, goals reached, and project outcomes via various conferences and events, the target population and the media. |
